BentoZushi opens Sun Life Centre Store

Filed under: Environmental Design, Kevin — Kevin Hemsworth @ 3:22 pm

We are proud to announce the opening of a new BentoZushi store, this one in the Sun Life Centre in the heart of the Toronto Financial District. We are particularly excited about this opening, as it is  a new and improved BentoZushi that comes to the Sun Life Centre; the result of a concerted effort by both our team here at Jump and the team from Bento Nouveau to build a stronger BentoZushi brand.

BentoZushi_SunLifeCentre

The Sun Life Centre BentoZushi is only the second inline store (the rest being kiosks), and also provides seating for customers. We’ve added menuboards and photography, including some mouthwatering sushi shots that are sure to tantalize taste buds and encourage trial. The sushi chef is now front and centre, lending authenticity, personality and freshness to the concept. We’ve upgraded the food presentation, improved the salads, and included some exciting new product lines. All of this combines to deliver a better brand experience to existing BentoZushi customers, and bring the taste and experience of BentoZushi to even more sushi-lovers.

The Sun Life Centre BentoZushi brings the total number of stores to 11, as it joins the Galeries d’Anjou and Fairview Pointe-Claire in Quebec, Hawthorne Center and Fox Valley Center in Chicago, Scotia Centre in Calgary, Walden Galleria in Buffalo, Stone Road Mall in Guelph, Bramalea City Centre, RBC Plaza and  Water Park Place in Toronto.

Maleta Wine Sparkles Gold!

Filed under: Kevin, Packaging Design — Kevin Hemsworth @ 5:01 pm

viewWow…hot on the heels of our Gold and Silver medals at the Canadian Franchising Association Awards last week, Maleta Wineries (one of our earliest clients) has won a Gold medal for their sparkling wine.

“Building on the success of the inaugural 2005 vintage, our 2006 VIEW OLD VINES BRUT sparkling wine was awarded GOLD at the Ontario Wine Awards gala on May 8. This follows the recent second-place finish at Cuvée 2009 and SILVER at the Canadian Wine Awards.” (excerpt from the Maleta Winery Summer 2009 newsletter)

While we can’t take credit for making such great wine, we are always excited about our clients’ successes, and very proud of our association with Maleta. We would like to congratulate them on their most recent awards, and wish them all the best with their new vintages.

A Silver Frankie to go with our Gold!

Filed under: Environmental Design, Kevin — Kevin Hemsworth @ 4:05 pm

In addition to the Gold Frankie we won for the Yogen Fruz website on Monday, we are also extremely proud to announce that we took home a Silver Frankie for our work on the Yogen Fruz menu boards.

Yogen Fruz Menu Boards

Developed by Jump as part of the Yogen Fruz rebranding project, the menu boards were designed to cut through the clutter of the busy food court environment by featuring larger than life product photography in order to generate appetite appeal and entice consumers. The products sit on a background that is cool, light, and aspirational, and reinforces the health benefits of this tasty treat. Simplifying the menu into their main product categories helped Yogen Fruz to segment their offering and communicate this effectively to consumers.

The Frankie Awards celebrate the creative contributions and excellence in advertising and marketing for Canadian franchising. The Awards are presented annually by the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) for the best creative work in Canadian franchising. Entries were reviewed by a panel of judges among the top professionals in the fields of creative, production and marketing. Each entry was judged for clarity of message, originality of concept, effective use of medium, and overall presentation. Finalists in the ‘Point of Purchase’ category included The Firkin Group of Pubs, Prime Restaurants Canada, and Mucho Burrito.

The new menu boards have increased same store sales significantly, both independently and as part of an overall store refresh. They have helped to position Yogen Fruz effectively as a leader in the frozen yogurt market.

The Frankie Awards celebrate the creative contributions and excellence in advertising and marketing for Canadian franchising. The Awards are presented annually by the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) for the best creative work in Canadian franchising. The Yogen Fruz website was one of 193 entries that were reviewed by a panel of judges among the top professionals in the fields of creative, production and marketing. Each entry was judged for clarity of message, originality of concept, effective use of medium, and overall presentation. Finalists in the ‘Internet’ category included Panago Pizza and White Spot restaurant.

Yogen Fruz was also a finalist in the ‘Point of Purchase’ category, for their new menu boards.
